Induction is recognized as being one of the quickest, safest and most efficient methods of cooking today.
When a pan with a ferrous or magnetic metal base is placed on the hob a powerful magnetic field is created inducing a current which in turn generates heat almost instantly in the pan.
Experience induction cooking for yourself
We are happy to explain to customers the many benefits, but why not ask for a demonstration? When cooking with induction the heat is only generated when a cooking vessel is placed on an activated cooking zone. The effect is almost instant – induction cooking is 40% faster than cooking with gas and because the heat is only created where its needed, it’s up to 25% more energy efficient than gas.
Easy to clean, safer to use
The ceramic cooktop is warmed only by the heat transferred back from the cookware, spillages are less likely to burn on, and there is normally no need to wait for the glass to cool down, making it quick and easy to clean.
Automatic pan recognition
The intelligent pan recognition built into Siemens hobs means that only a ferrous pan that is in place can activate the induction field therby ignoring, say , a discarded spoon making it safer for human involvement.
The Siemens flexInduction hob can behave as a traditional four-zone induction hob, but choose to link its zones together to form one single rectangular cook surface, allowing multiple pans of any size (space permitting) to share the same space, working only where pans are detected.
Each of the four zones can work independently of the others, the elongated shape of the inductors means that larger pans can have more evenly distributed heat, meaning your meals will be beautifully evenly cooked, even if the pan is not over an induction coil
