Slow Cooked Honey Buffalo Chicken Wraps

Packed with flavour and as little or as much punch as you like these wraps are a great meal to make for any hungry crowd! Throw into the oven and leave them to cook away whilst you go for a walk in the country, entertain your guests or head into town.


  • 8 bonelss, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 cup hot sauce of choice
  • 1/4 cup and 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Black pepper


  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornflour

To Serve

  • Tortilla Wraps
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Spring onions (shredded)


  1. Place chicken in slow cooker and add 3 cloves of crushed garlic and sprinkle with paprika, thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. Add the butter, hot sauce, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, tomato ketchup around the chicken as opposed to on top and cook on low for 4 hours*.
  3. Remove Chicken from sauce.
  4. Shred the chicken with two forks, to give it that classic shredded look, mix in to the sauce and keep warm.
  5. Mix cornflour with 2 tbsp. water and add to sauce. Simmer on saute setting in slow cooker for 5 minutes, until thickened to a syrup like consistency (this can also be done in a saucepan over a medium heat).
  6. Serve in tortilla wraps with shredded lettuce, spring onion and the sauce.

*Alternative cooking methods:
Aga – Cook chicken for 10 mins in roasting oven and then transfer to simmering oven for a further 50mins-1 hour or until chicken is tender

Hob top cooking – Add 1/4 cup of water cover and simmer for 50mins – 1 hour or until the chicken is tender.
