As a family business with a heritage stretching back over 170 years, our staff and many long standing customers are considered extended family. With this in mind, we were touched to hear of the plight facing the Hopps family who bought a kitchen from Spillers last year. Frank Hopps sadly suffers from Kennedy’s Disease, sometimes referred to as X-Linked Motor Neurone Disease.
On Saturday (October 17th 2015) we held our annual Coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event organised by Sarah Brewin and Melanie Mason and included a selection of home baked cakes from Spillers employees and freshly brewed Coffee on the Miele CM6300 Coffee Machine.
Spillers are now supporting St Margaret’s Hospice as their chosen charity – an amazing place that cares for people with life limiting conditions right across Somerset. The cause is particularly close to our hearts following the support and care given to Spillers owner, Andrew Durie who sadly passed away in January of this year.
