EXPERIENCE BORA AT SPILLERS

Introducing one of the most exciting kitchen appliance collections available from Spillers. BORA have successfully morphed the humble extractor into a kitchen must have. Kitchens are no longer one dimensional rooms reserved solely for cooking, instead they are living spaces that must provide for the whole family. This open plan set up has taken extraction from an after thought, to a hot topic that can’t be ignored.

Imagine an appliance that combines phenomenal extraction with a range of different cook tops.

Instead of letting cooking vapours take over the kitchen, BORA cooktop extractors draw them directly from the saucepan, roaster or griddle whilst cooking. They do this not by magic, but by applying the basic principles of fluid mechanics, creating a cross flow which is greater than the speed at which the cooking vapours rise.

Experience BORA at the Spillers Kitchen Destination

The new BORA Centre at Spillers features the entire collection. Two Mackintosh kitchen designs, complete with appliances by Neff, Siemens and Liebherr provide a great backdrop for the Pure, X Pure, S Pure, Classic and Professional Models.

Functional aesthetics, innovative effectiveness

Perfect extraction

The Bora principle is gaining increasing popularity. ‘The end of the extractor hood’ is their clear vision. Bora can offer freedom, enhanced functions and extraordinary design options. Bora’s ingenious invention has renovated kitchens around the globe as now there is no need for loud extractor hoods which allows new found freedom for kitchen design.

With a normal cooktop the cooking vapours and odours to rise from the pan, roaster or pot. However, a Bora cooktop extractor is unique as it extracts directly from where the vapours and odours are created. The basic principles of fluid mechanics have been applied to their extractor cooktops so the cross flow is greater than the speed at which the vapours rise. Furthermore, cooking vapours rise at a maximum speed of one metre per second yet the Bora extractor extracts downwards at an approximate speed of four metres per second. Even with multiple pans on the cooktop, the vapours and odours are still extracted effectively.

The developer and founder of Bora, Willi Bruckbauer, set out to design the perfect extractor ten years ago. Having worked in the kitchen industry for over twenty years, he was unhappy with suspended extractor hoods. His ambition was to create a quiet, effective, and slim line extractor to make cooking in the kitchen more appealing. Bora cooktop extractors are produced in Germany and Austria and their advanced products are sold in an astounding fifty-eight countries.

The Systems

Bora uses two methods of banishing smells. The ‘Exhaust System’ simply channels vapours through a tube to an outlet duct on the outside of the building. This is a highly effective system, but not always practical if the cooktop’s location isn’t situated next to an internal wall. The Bora ‘Recirculation System’ is the alternative solution, where the fumes and smells are channelled into specially designed filters that capture and eradicate the smells, keeping the air inside your kitchen fresh, clean and odourless.

Keeping your kitchen fresh is simple, the controls are intuitive and easy to use and every element that makes up a Bora hob is convenient to remove and clean quickly and safely in your dishwasher.

Keeping Your Kitchen Fresh

A common problem when cooking meals is that smells and odours hang around for long periods of time, often escaping into other parts of the house, or causing a real issue in an open plan space. Over the years, this is something that many of us have become accustomed to, trying to mask the problem with candles and all sorts of paraphernalia. With a Bora cooktop extractor fan system, it doesn’t have to be this way. The Bora cooktop extractor uses a scientific approach to find the perfect solution. Bora’s designers have measured the maximum speed at which cooking vapours rise (one metre per second to be precise), thus by creating a cross flow which is greater than this speed allows the cooking vapours to be extracted straight from the pan before they rise. The modern system means that cooking smells and odours are quickly sucked into the extraction system before they are allowed to escape into the room.
