Porto Kitchen
The Practicalities of a modern kitchen showcased in a contemporary design with striking natural grain.
Porto’s contemporary design combines carefully chosen
materials to create a striking handcrafted kitchen. Pattern
and texture are key to the luxurious modern feel of the
Porto kitchen. Shown here in a palette of chocolaty toned
timbers contrasted with subtly varied granite surfaces,
smooth painted elements and screen-printed glass
“wallpaper”, creating an eclectic mix.
Originally inspired by the versatility of American Black
Walnut, the clean, linear design of the cabinets allows the
subtle contrasts in grain created by the combination of
crown cut and quarter cut veneers to take the limelight.
Close grained quarter cut veneer is used horizontally for
feature areas such as drawer fronts, whilst the more familiar
crown cut timber is used for the frames. Dark stained
walnut pilaster accents add impact, particularly when
teamed with cream painted elements.
This attention to detail continues inside the cupboards
where every available space has been used to provide useful
storage. The mantle surround has been designed to include
L-shaped cupboards with shelving perfect for spices and
oils. Timber framed glass shelving allows for maximum
visibility and a split level corner carousel design gives easy
access to pans and small appliances.
