Madrid is a sleek handle-free design created to emphasise the dramatic wild grain patterns of Walnut Sap. Simple, Shaker-influenced shapes with pared down decorative features allow the patterns created by the flares of pale sappy timber to take centre stage. Pale polished granite surfaces and stainless steel appliances reflect the light to keep an airy and open feel to the room.

Charles Yorke's specialist cabinet makers carefully select each piece of veneer and timber for the Madrid furniture in order to make sure the patterns create a strong linear design from one area to the next. Veneers are used with the grain running in different directions to enhance the contrasts between pale and dark areas of timber. Madrid's dramatic looks are just part of the story.
